Elopement in Rome with Film and Digital Wedding Photography
Eloping in Rome is always full of little surprises, and for Büşra and Alparslan it started with a small hiccup, a miscommunication with the hairdresser. But once they made it on time for their elopement photoshoot, everything fell into place. When we met at Biblio Bar near Castel Sant’Angelo, their nerves slowly faded and the city of Rome began to work its magic.

We started with gentle portraits around the bridge and the charming cobblestone streets, letting them ease into the day. I captured their moments with both my digital and film cameras, blending the sharp elegance of modern photography with the timeless texture of analogue film.
As we wandered deeper into the heart of Rome, Büşra and Alparslan’s laughter grew louder and more carefree. One of the most joyful moments came when I placed them on a Lime e-scooter. After a few tries, we got the shot we were dreaming of and for Büşra it turned into one of the highlights of the whole day.
At one point, a restaurant owner noticed the newlyweds and spontaneously offered them two glasses of prosecco to celebrate. It was such a sweet, only in Italy moment, and it reminded me once again why I love doing this job so much.
From playful scooter rides to romantic moments by the river and cinematic frames in front of Rome’s historic landmarks, their elopement was a celebration of love in its purest and most spontaneous form.
For couples like Büşra and Alparslan, choosing an elopement photographer in Rome or anywhere in Italy means more than just photos. It is about creating memories that feel real, joyful and uniquely yours.
