Dancing Above the Eternal City: A Destination Wedding at Six Senses in Rome
Sometimes, a wedding isn’t just about the vows or the venue, it’s about the journey that brings people together. Alp and Selen, a lovely couple from Istanbul who both work in the corporate world, decided to start their forever with a destination wedding in Rome. Their wedding reception took place at Notos, the beautiful rooftop of the Six Senses Hotel, overlooking the Eternal City.

Alp, with his passion for music and side career as a DJ, brought energy and rhythm to every moment. Selen, warm, friendly, and easy-going, balanced that energy with grace and joy. Together, they made the perfect harmony, both in life and on their wedding day.
Their celebration in Rome unfolded over two days. On the first day, we wandered through the timeless streets of the Eternal City. With its ancient architecture and golden light, Rome offered a cinematic backdrop as Alp and Selen laughed, posed, and enjoyed just being together.
The second day was reserved for the big celebration. Their wedding reception took place at Notos, the rooftop of the Six Senses Hotel in Rome. With panoramic views of the city, laughter in the air, and music flowing, their love was at its peak. Friends from Istanbul joined them, filling the space with joy and energy.
For me, photographing their story was more than just work. Living in Rome and being born in Istanbul, I felt an emotional bond with their journey, two worlds I hold close to my heart coming together in one celebration. Surrounded by their dear friends who traveled to join their happy day and support them, Alp and Selen’s love felt even stronger. Capturing their joy in such a meaningful setting was a privilege, and I truly wish them a lifetime of happiness and harmony.
