A Peaceful Pre Wedding Photoshoot in Padova, Italy
If you’re dreaming of a pre wedding photoshoot in Padova, Italy, let me take you behind the scenes of one unforgettable day I spent with the lovely couple Ceyda and Barkin, surrounded by lush greenery, centuries of history, and golden Italian light.

Our journey began with an Instagram message from Barkin. After a few chats and setting up the details, I packed my camera and traveled from Rome to Padua (Padova in Italian) to meet them for their pre wedding session. Their choice of location? A true gem, L’Orto Botanico dell’Università di Padova, the oldest university botanical garden in the world, founded in 1545 and recognized as a UNESCO World Heritage Site.
This magical place, originally created to teach students about medicinal plants, has since become a global reference point for scientific research in botany, ecology, and medicine. For a romantic photoshoot, it offers more than beauty. It offers timeless character and tranquility.
From the moment we met, I could feel the easygoing energy between Ceyda and Barkin. They were warm, relaxed, and completely in sync with each other, which made my job not just easy but incredibly fun.
We wandered through shaded paths, played with light, and embraced the textures of nature. I encouraged them to let go, to run, laugh, and relax. At one point, Ceyda nearly drifted off while resting on Barkin’s lap on a bench because the atmosphere was that serene. Between candid smiles and still moments, we created a visual story that felt intimate and real.
As the sun dipped lower, we left the garden and made our way into the city of Padova, where history and everyday life blend in the most charming way. We finished the shoot just as any perfect Italian evening should, with a few glasses of wine at a street-side café.
Over wine and laughter, I shared some tips about Italian grape varieties, and we talked about travel, weddings, and life. It felt less like work and more like enjoying a beautiful day with two new friends.
