Elope in Italy – Create a Wedding Day That’s Entirely Yours

To elope in Italy is to choose intimacy, freedom, and beauty over tradition and stress. Italy offers an unmatched blend of history, romance, and atmosphere. It is perfect for couples who want their wedding day to be an authentic reflection of their love. Imagine exchanging vows in a quiet Venetian alley, clinking glasses on a Tuscan hilltop, or exploring the vibrant streets of Naples hand in hand.

What Does Elopement Mean?

Elopement means to step away from the pressures, expectations, and formalities of a traditional wedding and choose a celebration that feels entirely your own. In the past, eloping often meant secretly running away to get married, but today it has evolved into something much more intentional and beautiful. Modern elopements are about creating a wedding day that is deeply personal, meaningful, and focused entirely on the connection between you and your partner.

As Cesare Pavese once wrote, “We do not remember days, we remember moments.” Your elopement in Italy is all about those moments: raw, unplanned, and unforgettable.

Your Elopement Photographer in Italy

As your elopement photographer in Italy, I see elopements not as events but as stories worth telling with honesty and heart. My style is documentary and natural, capturing the laughter, the soft glances, and the in-between moments that make your day truly yours.

Based in Rome and traveling throughout Italy, I know the country’s cities, villages, and hidden gems like a local. From the golden light in Florence to the dramatic cliffs of the Amalfi Coast, I will help you find locations that fit your vision. With my love for travel, food, and wine, I can also guide you toward experiences that will make your elopement as memorable as the photographs themselves.

Where to Elope in Italy

Italy is full of extraordinary backdrops for your elopement:

  • Rome: A mix of ancient history and modern energy. Sunrise walks through cobblestone streets and golden-hour vows near ancient ruins.

  • Venice: Quiet canals, hidden courtyards, and timeless romance.

  • Tuscany: Rolling hills, medieval towns, vineyards, and world-class cuisine.

  • Milan: Stylish city vibes paired with historic charm.

  • Naples: Lively streets, rich traditions, and panoramic views of Mount Vesuvius.

  • The Dolomites: Towering peaks and breathtaking alpine scenery for adventurous couples.

  • Sicily & Puglia: Coastal beauty, vibrant colors, and warm southern hospitality.

I have been living in Italy for over ten years, exploring its every corner not only as a photographer but also as a travel writer whose work has been published in books and featured in magazines like Vogue. This experience means I know the country in depth, not just its geography but also its rich wine culture, culinary traditions, and the hidden places that most visitors never find. Whether you dream of a chic city celebration or a quiet countryside escape, I can guide you to locations and experiences that make your Italian elopement as relaxed or as adventurous as you want it to be.

More Than Digital – The Timeless Feel of Film Photography

Alongside digital photography, I offer 35mm and 120mm film photography for couples who love a nostalgic, authentic touch. Using the Leica M6, Canon AE-1, and Yashica Mat 124G, I create images rich in texture and emotion—perfect for telling your story in a way that feels timeless. And there’s no better setting for this than Italy. The country itself feels like stepping into a living postcard, where cobblestone streets, centuries-old architecture, and golden light create the perfect backdrop for the romantic, cinematic quality of film photography. Just as film preserves moments with a sense of history and depth, Italy surrounds you with an atmosphere that is effortlessly timeless.

Fine Art Print Included

A fine art print is an archival-quality giclée print, known for its outstanding detail, vibrant colors, and long-lasting durability. Unlike traditional c-type prints that use light-sensitive paper and chemicals, giclée prints are created with high-quality pigment inks on acid-free fine art paper. They are produced using a high-resolution, large-format printer, which ensures exceptional sharpness and richness in every image.

Because of these premium materials and careful printing methods, giclée prints are highly valued by museums and galleries for their ability to last for decades without fading, yellowing, or cracking. They also offer a variety of finishes, from glossy and luster to true matte, as well as different textures like watercolor paper or canvas.

As part of my standard package, you’ll receive a stunning 30 x 40 cm fine art print, designed to preserve your special moments with museum-quality beauty and timeless elegance.
